Not-Rainy-Seattle

Bo He (Corporate Chair)

This summer, I participated in a summer research program at University of Washington in Seattle. I worked in a material science engineering laboratory optimizing the creation of a biomaterial for would healing in various tissues. The product is a foam scaffold created out of chitosan and alginate, and it can be inserted into critical size defects in bone to facilitate healing and regeration. The lab was awesome and everyone was very friendly. And it only rained 3 days out of the 3 months I was there! Yay Seattle!!
