The Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP) is a free six week summer academic enrichment program for freshman and sophomore college students who are interested in a career in medicine or
dentistry. The program is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
with direction and technical assistance provided by the AAMC and the

Profile for Success is an intensive 6-week educational enrichment and
skill development summer residential program for highly motivated 3rd,
4th years and recent graduates from disadvantaged and underrepresented
backgrounds. Students with a demonstrated interest in serving the
underserved are also eligible to apply.
