Much apologies for the hiatus from putting up info about events... But there are a few things coming up which are important for the lay-BioE student to connect to both the present and the future. Namely: the college you're at now and the college you may be heading off to! Graduate School Panel >>For those of you who're sophomores and juniors, this is definitely an event for you as Professor Conolly will be covering a number of things which you will want to do and consider before your senior year (when you actually apply for graduate school!) Also, the insight from Terry Johnson (he's actually not a doctorate...) and the attending grad students may help you decide whether or not graduate school is for you. >>For those of you seniors, definitely come to get your questions and fears addressed from some very good sources! (hearsay from the undergrad grapevine is great for finding out about frat parties and the latest gadgetry, but not the most reliable of sources for figuring out grad school admissions) General Meeting again! Oct 29th 6pm-8pm (or even longer if you wish =D) 20 Barrows Pretty self-explanatory, yes? ^___^ But if you need more persuasion... Come for a good time and to network with your fellow BioE (and other major-ed) students! Come hang out with us officers, we're officers because we love hanging out, getting to know you (yes, you) and being the best resources we can be to our fellow students! And for those of you still wrangling with class choices, come chat up classmates and upperclassmen to get their take on your situation.... and free food! Committee Social FRIDAY 10/23 @ 6:15PM MEET @ BANCROFT & TELEGRAPH (next to Tully's)
We will be getting DINNER followed by some PARTY GAMES & FUN (we'll be bringin BANG, QUELF, & MORE...!!) Hot Pot City Sushi Minami (across from Asian ghetto Bobby's Pizza down on University Mayflower on University & Oxford Oriental BBQ Chicken Town (It's a little bit down Telegraph) If you've dinner plans already, come join for some ridiculously fun and quixotic games. If you've never heard of Quelf- it's okay- most of us hadn't either before this semester, but everyone swear its worth playing at least once; it's Cranium on crack! Hope to see you soon! |
